Khalif is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and the Managing Partner of A.A.Khlaif Advocates LLP.

His work encompasses tax law, regulatory reforms, county government law and reform, reduction of administrative burdens, the structure of business entities, joint ventures, acquisitions, banking, foreign investment, corporate and commercial law, complex litigation and alternative dispute resolution (mediation, negotiations and arbitration).

He is also a Board Member at the Equalization Fund Advisory Board where he represents the Kenyan Parliament at the Board. His roles among others is to advise the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Treasury on the equitable distribution of the Equalization Fund.

He holds Bachelor of laws and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Nairobi.
